About PBNC

The Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) is a leading biennial forum organized by the Pacific Nuclear Council (PNC) that brings together nuclear professionals, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders from across the Pacific Rim. Since its launch in 1976, PBNC has provided a unique platform to share insights, foster collaboration, and explore innovative solutions for the future of nuclear energy.

The 2026 edition of PBNC jointly hosted by the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum (KAIF) and the Korean Nuclear Society (KNS) will take place from April 22 to 24, 2026, at BEXCO in Busan, Korea’s second-largest city and a vibrant hub of global exchange. PBNC 2026 will feature plenary and technical sessions, special panels, and exhibitions covering a wide range of topics.

About KAP

The Korea Atomic Power Annual Conference (KAP) is the largest annual event of the Korean nuclear industry, organized by the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum (KAIF) since 1986. For nearly four decades, KAP has served as a premier venue where industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders gather to discuss key issues and future visions for nuclear power.

The program traditionally features keynote speeches, thematic presentations, and panel discussions, addressing current challenges and opportunities in the nuclear sector. In addition, the conference includes government award ceremonies and a variety of special events, fostering recognition, collaboration, and engagement within the community. Over the years, KAP has become a vital networking platform not only for the Korean nuclear industry but also for international participants from around the world.

In 2026, in conjunction with the Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) to be held in Busan, KAP will be merged with PBNC, offering a truly global stage. The plenary sessions will focus on the industrial applications of nuclear energy, current issues, and future outlooks, providing an expanded opportunity for dialogue and collaboration across borders.
