Technical Tours for Overseas KAP/PBNC Participant and INEX Exhibitor

Overseas PBNC/KAP participants and INEX exhibitors will have the opportunity to participate in the Technical Tour on April 24.
The Technical Tour is open to fully registered conference participants at no additional cost.
Some courses may be subject to cancellation or change depending on facility conditions.
Please refer to the detailed course descriptions below for further information.
Final details will be provided individually no later than one week prior to the conference.
APR1400 applicants must click the “Download” button under Course 1 to download and submit the required documents to finalize the application.
Only one course can be selected per participant. If you with to change your registered Technical Tour, Please refer to the instructions below :
①Before approval : Cancel your previous application through My Registration and then submit a new application.
②After approval : Please contact the Secretariat at conference@kaif.or.kr to request cancellation of approved application.

Course 1. KHNP Saeul Nuclear Power Plant (APR1400)

14:00-14:30 Security Clearance
14:30-17:00 Technical Tour: Saeul Units 3 & 4 Construction Site and Unit 2 (Turbine Building → Main Control Room → Spent Fuel Pool)
17:00-18:00 Return to BEXCO

Saeul Nuclear Power Site (Saeul NPS) serves as a major hub for Korea’s next-generation nuclear power program, overseeing both plant operations and ongoing expansion projects.
The site applies the Advanced Power Reactor 1400 (APR1400) design and reflects Korea’s accumulated expertise in nuclear engineering, safety management, and efficient plant operation, contributing to reliable and low-carbon power generation

Course 3. Doosan Enerbility Changwon Plant

15:00-16:30 Technical Tour: Forging Shop, Turbine Shop and Nuclear Shop

Doosan’s Changwon Plant spans approximately four million square meters and houses a comprehensive range of large-scale manufacturing workshops, including facilities for casting and forging, turbines and generators, nuclear components, boilers, and wind turbines. In addition, the site features key gas turbine production facilities, an R&D center, and its own private dock.
With fully integrated production infrastructure, the complex is capable of executing the entire manufacturing value chain—from raw material processing to final product assembly—within a single site.
